So, I forgot to update while we were on vacation. I guess we were just having too much fun.
The week passed without much to note. I mean, we had fun, did typical vacation things, were total slugs and I read (actually reread) several books. Kaitlyn continually made fun of me being on FB while on vacation. What can I say? I enjoy the social interaction! Plus I can't let Mom beat me on the games without a protest...ha ha ha.
The weather was really nice the whole time we were there. I think it rained one night.
Our 25th anniversary came and went. Greg and I went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. I've decided several times over the years that I have NOTHING in common with my husband. We ran out of conversation within 10 minutes. This is why I have to have other companions on vacation!
The only bad thing on the whole vacation was a group of people from Ohio and Kentucky who were also staying at our hotel. They were obnoxious, selfish and just general pains in the ass. One of them would get up early every morning and score all the best lounge chairs around the pool. Then as they each recovered from the night before, they would wander out to the pool. Once there was a large enough crowd, they would play their boombox and it wasn't pleasant. In the afternoon, they would drag out their cornhole boards and set them up on the walkway to the beach. They were rude enough to glare at anyone who was audacious enough to want to go to the beach. And the cornhole continued on into the night. This was EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.
Oh well, all in all, we had a good time. Left on Saturday morning and got home on Saturday night.
